What was your greatest military disaster in any PDX game?

Currently, I'm playing Darkest Hour as Italy using The Grand Campaign mod. I was in the middle of a civil war against the Italian union and I attempted to land on Sardinia with 4 divisions of men, some tanks, and some artillery. I realized I'd forgot to give my transports some ships to cover them but it was too late.

A few moments later, 52,000 men, a lot of horses, tanks, and artillery, gone down the drain. :( Rest in peace you Italian heroes. And to think, you guys were the elite that charged through the south of France and marched up to Paris when Germany couldn't. :(
