Finding a Flugel

I used to play brass in school--baritone and trumpet specifically. I'd like to try a flugel as a way of getting back into that realm of music, but I'm having a heck of a time finding one. I'd prefer to rent, ideally spending $200 or so for 3+ months to see if it's a good fit.

I've called every music shop for a hundred miles and no one has them for rent. I'm looking into online rental, but am having trouble finding a reputable company.

Last option would be buying a cheap horn on ebay. I have found some that are in the $150-$250 range (example) but I'm not sure how much to trust something like that without a brand and coming directly from the factory. So where on earth can I actually find a decent flugal to try out? Were I actually to buy a cheap horn that was beat to hell but still played, what would be the not-crap brands to look for?
