Silent sleep

Last year I was wandering through my small town in Iowa just like any other night. I was with my friend Ethan and we had a little bit to drink but not enough to be drunk. We decided to walk to an island in the middle of the mississippi river just because neither of us had explored there before. We passed a couple rundown shacks and thought nothing of it I mean it is a small town in iowa right? So we kept walking and got to the island at this point it is about midnight. As we are walking down the path there are lights following the path for night walkers such as us. We got to the only intersection on the whole island and when we were about 20 feet away from it the only light over that went out. We both stopped a little spooked but thought maybe it just went out because it was an old light bulb or something so we kept walking but when we got about 20 feet away on the other side we heard something that caused us to turn around. The light was back on. We wanted to test and see if we were just tired so we walked back towards it and once again it turned off but this time there was a figure standing under the light post. He seemed to be just staring at us. We both decided we were just tired or more drunk then we thought and walked away continuing our walk. I peeked again and when the lught turned on nothing was there and that seemed to calm me. When I looked back forward I saw what looked like a rabbit running through the rocks by the river. I walked over to where it stopped moving but nothing was there and it didnt run away I kept my eyes on it the whole time. Starting to be creeped out I told Ethan we should head back so I can get home and sleep. We started heading back and got to the intersection again but this time the light didnt go out. While I was relieved he stopped moving. I turned and asked "what? Lets keep going." Not saying a word he pointed towards the way of the intersection we didnt go. There was a fire there now in plain view like someone was camping with the figure we saw standing right behind the fire still just staring at us. At this point we ran to get off the island. We got off and thought it was over but as we passed the rundown shacks that were all locked and boarded up every one we passed there were scratches and screams coming from all of them. We finally made it to the car freaking out I took him home and drove home myself looking to try and sleep. After about an hour I did pass out but woke up at 4:32am to look up and see that figure staring at me. Thats all he seemed to do was stare then at 4:34 he was gone. Not long after I get a call from Ethan screaming saying he just saw the creature again. Yelling at me that the thing was in his room and stared at him for 2 minutes and when he tried to move the figures eyes glowed red and pinned him down. The next night I woke up again at 4:32 and decided to try to move and his eyes started glowing red and pinned me down. I thought him and me were going insane so I checked into counseling and after a couple months the figure stopped haunting me. I moved to minnesota a couple months ago and have had some issues sleeping but for the past 7 days I have been wokeb up at 4:32 this time the figures eyes were red before I tried to move and each time I was being lifted off the bed and then dropped several times for the 2 minutes he was there. This morning I got a call from a friend back home sayimg Ethan had been freaking out about a red eyed creature everyday for 10 days and on the last day noone has seen him since.
