[Letter] To Lord Stevron Frey

Letter

My Dear Lord Paramount Stevron Frey,

I write only to congratulate you, Lord Frey, on the eminence of your government and the peace and tranquility your rule has brought to the Riverlands. Under the Tullys this land was wrought by war, for they were always a vile, scheming clan, and always prone to conflict. Though I have already sworn fealty to the House Frey as Lord Paramount of the Riverlands and as vassal to Lord Whent of Harrenhal, I would like to profess my undying loyalty once more to your Almighty Lordship and your Eternal House. You shall have my support in all your endeavors.

Your Humble Servant,

Alexander Monroe, Lord of Briarwhite

P.S. Speaking of endeavors, it would be my honor to aide in the enforcement of new tolls throughout the Riverlands, for in these hard economic times I believe it will be necessary to reassert the power of the Lord Paramouncy. This would save you, My Lord, the expense of collecting the toll and would allow you to present yourself as a friend to free commerce. Were House Briarwhite, for a small commission of course, to be charged with the enforcement of your Lordship's will in these matters, you may be certain of a steady, reliable toll income for decades to come.
