Shenanigans
4 chambermaids to 190 rooms. Cue heavy departures, back to back with heavy arrivals. The late checkout fee was abolished because of this one guest that kicked up a stink and threw a tantrum. Housekeeping wrongly releases a dirty room to vacant inspected status. FDA checks guest into said room; guest leaves bad review on tripadvisor, and instead of housekeeping getting the blame, the entire FO gets shamed for it (someone actually printed the review and left a copy on the cafeteria notice board, fucking bitch. Even included a note about how we should 'strive to improve our service.)
At this point, I've ran out of fucks to give. I see how hard my fellow FDAs are working, only to be slapped down by management who thinks that EVERYTHING is the FO's fault. Housekeeping underlings are overworked, and yet HSKP HOD gets away with practically murder because she's buddies with the Ops Manager.
*The guest that kicked up a stink about the late checkout fee was angry because during their first stay here, they never notified us of their late check in, and for some reason, none of the team leaders thought of calling the guest up and making sure that they were coming.
He reserved a king room, which was limited at the time, so they ended up getting a twin single instead. He kept calling the front desk abusing people. It ended up with the GM himself coming to apologize for the incident, and the late checkout fee being abolished (bad idea, baaaaad!) and him scoring a free ride with all his buddies in the shuttle to the airport. Just.... wow.
