Is Burn a good deck?

Discussion

So, I have two modern decks, Temur Scapeshift and Zombie Loam, and with the Chain Lightning and Price of Progress reprints in EMA I was considering (although I'm not sure with what degree of seriousness) selling out of Zombie Loam to build Legacy Burn. I'm looking for a bit of a change of pace and an aggressive deck in a new format sounds like a good one to me, when I've been playing combo and control decks in modern for quite some time. My concern is that it kinda seems like burn is not actually a great deck in the format. I don't really play the format, but watch it from time to time and I've identified that combo decks like reanimator, storm, sneak and show, etc are bad matchups with the possibility of occasionally getting blown out by a more noncombo deck like miracles or certain delver variants (jeskai in particular, although this variant seems to have largely fallen out of favor since tasigur and gurmag angler were printed). To me it seems like you are really hoping to see decks like Infect, Shardless, Lands, etc which are all established decks, but I don't really know metagame %'s or matchup dynamics well enough to think about these things with absolute certainty. To me it seems like Burn has the potential to be a deck that would be disappointing to buy into as my first foray into the format because it can sometimes, if not frequently, perform very poorly. Performance isn't everything to me as I identify as a johnny much more than a spike (I do play zombie loam with some regularity afterall), but losing with a high degree of frequency can still be quite discouraging. Can anyone confirm my suspicions, put my mind at rest, or bring something to the table that I haven't thought of? General opinions on Burn?
