Question for those who make their pens. Specifically regarding Urushi.

Good day pen-folk. I must come forward and say I have little interest in the pens themselves. I've been trying to find information about Urushi finishes for other projects and your sub had no less than 39 entries, while woodworking had 5.. Of which none had usuable information!

I have found two books which may be of assistance, but one is a basic beginners guide about Urushi, with little in the way of in depth techniques, the other.. written entirely in Japanese.

So simply, I'm humbly askung for help, a link to a book, an article on use, anything! I've been able to research that enough that I know it needs cured in a humid environment and must be put on in very thin coats to allow drying more than a thin top crust. Everything else usually involves the art culture side of the story.
