What's this 90s movie?

"Please, no my chicken, no my chicken!"

A young boy cries as a couple of street thugs grab his rooster by the legs and hang it upside down before they proceed to kill it for food.

I was about 3 or 4 when I watched this movie (or some part of it). And I remember becoming really upset about what happened, so much so that I refused to watch the rest of it.

That line is the only thing I really ever recall about the movie but for some reason, I can't seem to get it out of my head. I've been getting flash backs of it for years now.
