I hate that all of you think life is precious

I know lots of people find this sub helpful, and I'm glad you guys help so many increase their life quality, but I still sort of despise the whole basis for this sub. I don't think simply not enjoying life is a disease, and to be honest I find it hurtful that everyone is telling me that there's something so fundamentally wrong with me. In my opinion there's no meaning to life itself, and of course, this just means that people have to search within themselves to find their own meaning, but if you can't find one then you should have the goddamn option of offing yourself without society treating it as a tragedy. If it weren't for this constructed idea that suicide is a tragedy, my passing wouldn't have such a devastating impact on those around me. Sure, losing a loved one would in any world be a sad thing, but it could be a lot less sad if it weren't for the idea that every life is precious and that we should do everything we can to prevent deaths.

I'm probably never going to kill myself, because I know that I'll never live in a world where me killing myself won't devastate the lives of my parents and sibling. But holy shit do I hope future generations have a more relaxed relationship to life and death than we do.

I'm not entirely sure what the point of this post is. I guess it's a combination of a rant and being curious to see if anyone can change my view. I definitely know I could be wrong, and I can't say for sure that there's nothing wrong with my philosophy. However, I can't see any objective reason why life should be treated as so precious. If I had the option to painlessly exterminate all life on earth in the span of a nanosecond, I wouldn't feel at all guilty about doing so. Who would be around to mourn it?

This is probably a somewhat disorganised and confusing post, and I'll try to provide clarification if needed. Right now I have to go study for an exam though. Please don't be careful about calling me out on any potential bullshit.
