I'm an idiot.

I managed to play 18 today for the 1st time in about 2 months. The course I played seems to have lazy people that play because I always come out of this course about +12 on golf balls.

I took a couple lessons so my swing is transitioning and It wasn't a great round as a result. Nothing was working for me except my driver. So I get to the 14th and it's a 189 yard par 3. I grab my 6i (I'm not a long hitter obviously) and go take a swing. It goes about 110 and lands on the fairway. Course is empty and I'm not accepting that so I drop another. Swing and it lands about 3 yards from the other. I grab a 3rd, make an adjustment and swing again. Goes about the same, nice and high, 110-115 and drops in the water. I'm + about 7 balls at this time so I grab another. I'm gonna drop em in the water until I figure out what I'm doing wrong. Drown 4 more balls and give up, I'll play my first from the fairway.

Defeated, I walk back to my cart and go to drop my club back in and notice I grabbed my 9i and not my 6i. 🙄 I grab my actual 6i, walk to the tee, one swing and hit the green.

Gotta get out of my own way before I can get any better at this game.

Edit: You guys are right. I'm a lying lier. 155 and I missed the green.. This is part of my problem, I'm horrible at distances and remembering what I hit. I leave a lot short as a result.
