How do you "know"?

How do you know that you're gonna get whatever you desire? How you get to being certain that it is true? How do you achieve that? Do you fake it till you make it? Or do you visualise it? Or do you immediately decide that it is true? I practiced LoA and Dimensional Jumping for months and I am stuck and seem like I forgot how to do it... Stupid sanity.
