American Eunuchs

So, I watched a documentary last night called 'American Eunuchs,' about, well, eunuchs, and I was really surprised that one of their three castrated subjects was:

a) A former military guy

and

b) A computer programmer

The only difference between him and the stereotypical autogynephile was that he was a 'butch' gay man (his words), and did not identify as female. I just found it interesting that he had the same background.

This goes against the theory that this kind of man is joining the military to suppress his femininity. This guy in no way was stereotypically feminine, nor did he give off the impression that he was trying to hide another 'feminine' self. He was muscular with tattoos, had a business card that referred to him as a bear.
