[nYNAB]How to manage money lend to friends?

In YNAB4 i just created categories for each friend and entered the amount of money i lend them. This was a good way and I could track each month how much people owe me. but with the new YNAB past overspent categories don't carry over to the next month. It's pretty hard to see who owes me what.
Any suggestions on how to handle this better?
