[QUESTION] This doesn't seem normal. Tone changes drastically when arm touches body.
Hello all. I was hoping I could ask for advice on an issue I've been having with my 2014 Taylor 814ce. When playing, it's pretty a pretty common tendency to rest your arm somewhere on the body in order to play comfortably. When I do it on this guitar, however, the tone of the guitar changes so drastically that it sounds like it's being run through a phaser pedal. I know the wood on the guitar is very light, and touching it inhibits the resonance, but the change in tone is pretty extreme even at the slightest touch. It makes recording a real challenge because I play mostly rock stuff, and having to hold it like a classical player feels pretty awkward and uncomfortable. The really weird thing is that I do not remember this happening when I bought it 2 years ago, and I spent a good few hours with it before purchasing. Here's a quick video example (excuse the annoying hum, I was using a cheap mic close to some electronics).

I still love it and it's perfect in every other way, but I just wanted to be sure that it's not a defect, which I'm sure is not the case. Any other 814 players have any thoughts?
