My mom keeps yelling at me that blaming something is NOT logical. I do not understand.
I want someone to please clarify something for me. It might be wrong subreddit to ask this question, but it's been weighing me down and it will finally go our of my chest at once.
Normally, when a situation X happens, I analyze the situation and I come first with a conclusion of whose fault it may be and later with solution, etc.
My mom does not like this. She says that blaming is not logical and tell me to stop blaming as it is pointless.
Take this situation as an example, it happened a year or two ago:
I grew a plant. I cared for it. I watered it.
Cat knocked the plant over. The dirt and plant was everywhere and some seeds were lost.
I analyzed situation in my head, the cat knocked it over -- I saw the cat knocked the plant over.
It was therefore, the cat's fault. The cat is to blame. I blame the cat for knocking over the plant.
Then, my mom told me not to blame the cat. She said that it was no-one's fault and that blaming things is non-sense.
I do not understand her. This is therefore, why I still blame things and keep getting her yell in my ear saying "WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KEEP BLAMING THINGS?!".
I personally think that it is logical to blame things. Because, there is always a cause to something. The vase fell because the cat knocked it over, etc, etc. The cat caused it. Do you know what I mean?
I want to really understand what she means, can you please clarify? Thanks.
