Has anyone tried the AHA Summertime Ginger Ale recipe? Or have a favourite of their own they'd recommend?

So this recipe for Summertime Ginger Ale popped up in my inbox a few days ago, and I was thinking of giving it a try - the last ginger ale I threw together wasn't exactly easy-drinking (about an order of magnitude too hot). Before I brew a full batch, I figured I'd see if anyone here has tried it. Any thoughts/reactions/reviews/musings to share?

Alternatively, do you have a preferred ginger ale recipe? I'm looking for something that can be kept on tap and drunk on its own, or used in a dark and stormy. Probably should be low ABV; aim is for something crisp and refreshing. Thanks in advance!
