[Crazy game story] Luckiest Shadowcaster of my life
I was trying out Iksar's C'Thun Rogue, as I went into a mirror matchup with a rank 13 Rogue. I quickly found out it was a C'Thun Rogue of some sort, as we were both buffing our C'Thuns. As we were trading back and forth, I ended up using my C'Thun as a board clear. Staring down my bazooka of a 15-12 Old God, I had the rogue in my sights.
He goes for a desperate Journey Below, and finds a Bloodmage Thalnos. He shivs his bloodmage, for a double draw, and finds.....you guessed it.....Reeeeenooo Jackson!
As I'm at 9 health, I'm super scared of him finding a old god of his own. Instead of smacking him with my 15-damage C'Thun, I trade with his every minion, hoping to find my shadowstep and finish him off. For three turns, I continue this plan, as I get more and more scared.
And as I think I have two-turn lethal, he plays his trap card, the almighty N'Zoth., filling up his board. It is now I who am staring down the wrong end of a shotgun.
Can I somehow trade into his board, to make sure he can't kill me?!?
I find but one solution that doesn't lead to a sure loss. I must cast my shadowcaster upon my C'Thun, getting a 1-1 C'Thun for 1 mana, and said Old God must be as precise as Vasily Zaytsev, sniping my opponent in the face. The rope starts burning as I sink to my knees, folding my hands in prayer to RNGesus and making the play. My shadowcaster gives me my C'Thun, the tiniest of all gods jumps onto the board, and HE SCORES! Straight to the face.
Shocked as I am, I am barely able to drag my minions to attack his face to finish him off for an exact lethal. The shadowcaster I crafted to make this deck, is my absolute hero of the week <3
