[Fan Content] My pitch for Season 5

Please be aware that I tried to write it in a way, the show could/would? actually do. But also as best as possible ;) It´s long but if I wanted and had the time, I would write story for each episode separately :D but why bother, right? :)

Premiere (5.01): "The Endgame"

Episode starts with running. Oliver runs in snow covered Siberia from group of Russian armed men. He gets higher ground, jums and shoots an arrow. That blends with action scene in Star City, where Green Arrow is fightning outside the hotel - he jump out of a balcony, so there´s the blend - there the present day story starts.

After action scene, where GA leaves on his arrowbike, we get these things:

What has changed? Oliver is active mayor for now and he teamed up with a business man, Fred Robinson. Together they are trying to bring some investors to the city and they already brought three major ones.

Crime is low, Green Arrow isn´t out there every night, he works alone in the field. People actually like living in the city.

Felicity is working in an IT firm and also is Overwatch. Curtis is helping when he can and works for Palmer tech.

Episode´s main plot Episode´s bad guy is Colin McFerth, business man, who came to the city, so he can invest and profit from this city´s needs.

GA is trying to get some documents from him, that would get him a bigger picture about what he wants, since he has some history with criminals.

Oliver and Robinson are dealing with business men and their ideas, as well as Oliver´s and Robinson´s plan for better Star City. They are doing a big presentation of opportunities for these potentional investors.

Oliver tries to get the documents as GA first, but then, later on, he decides to do it as Oliver Queen. He succeeds, because McFerth isn´t watching his every move. He uses a hacking device (a realistic one) from Curtis as well as Felicity´s help to get those documents.

They find out that he just wants a legitimate business here, but there is something more and they don´t know what.

GA then follows a lead on some McFerth´s shadow activity. Also, he takes special "stunning" arrows from Curtis. These arrows don´t have arrowheads, only a tube, that expands to a ball from something that doesn´t kill you (elastic material). Show´s equivalent of boxing glow arrows. He will use those on guards at a warehouse. He finds nothing there, he assumes someone is playing with him.

This all leads to the end of the episode, where GA and McFerth have confrontation and Mc Ferth kills himself, saying it´s better than telling him anything.

Very last scene is someone telling young man that McFerth kiled himself, so GA wouldn´t get information out of him. The man says that they need to find a way to stop GA wihout drawing too much attention to their endgame.

Flashbacks Oliver is on the run from Bratva, but in the end he finds Anatoli (sorry if misspelled the name) and he stops the chase. They were after him ´cause he wanted to get some information and used his bow and arrow to get them.

up to mid-season finale (02-08)

Oliver Not everyone is happy with him as a mayor, mostly because they think he can´t handle the mayor job and that if he gets in trouble, or competition with someone he will bail out. Also, the fact that Robinson is author of the practical side of their plan doesn´t help - "what would Oliver do without him?"

GA would fight villains of the week (taken from comic books, there are plenty of them, don´t have to be mega-special), plus some continuous and multi-episode ones. Using stunning arrows, regular arrows, explosive arrows and also hand to hand fighting. As episodes go, he starts to think there is something going on, both in the world of criminals and politics. He thinks it´s related.

Flashbacks Oliver in Bratva, they send him on missions to do for them ("no other way to be a member" says Anatoli). He choses missions where he can protect people. For instance protect some Bratva operated restaurant agains enemy gang etc. He starts to feel the urge to help people more and to fight crime more.

Mid-finale (09)

Oliver New oposing candidate - James, the main villain, the young man from the end of premiere. Oliver doesn´t back out, but James has plan of his own - his former company can help the city in many ways and he propses these ideas on special event he hosts. Plus, he was in city council in Seattle, so he knows politics. Oliver asks imself if James isn´t a better candidate, but he doesn´t back out, because Robinson and Felicity support him in his mayoral carrier, saying that he knows the city better and has plan already in progress. This ends with debate on TV between Oliver and James.

GA looks into James, looks into recent "quiet before the storm" situation that is silently going on. He finds out, that there is a person, calling himself Savior and wants to save the criminal world in this city.

Flashbacks Bratva isn´t happy with Oliver´s "outside Bratva" actions - crime fightning. This makes Oliver start considering going back home.

After mid-finale (10-15)

Oliver is struggling as elections are getting closer and James is getting more and more votes in pre-election polls. It´s because he has better strategy and is using his conections to get things done. Media are covering the whole thing.

GA tries to find who Savior is, while fighting other threats. In the end of episode 15, we will learn who Savior is - Count Vertigo from S3. Yes, him again, but he´s not alone.

Flashbacks Oliver basically decides to leave when Bratva becomes more and more controling of his life - they watch him, don´t allow him any freedom etc. He says goodbye to Anatoli and they end on terms good or bad, I´m not sue how is their relationship in S1, but i think good. So he leaves.

leading to finale (16-20)

Oliver James suddenly backs out, saying that Oliver is the better candidate - just before election. No one knows why, he just disappears. Oliver wins the election and does everything to find James. He is worried about him. Then rumors of Oliver threatening him etc starts to appear and police is even led to old Queen´s mansion, which is abandoned, but James is found restrained there. Restraints have Oliver´s fingerprints all over.

GA Is trying to get to Savior, but no one talks. Also, more and more bad guys are getting into the city, or resurfacing. This creates a dilemma for Oliver later - go after them or investigate James´s disappearance first. Plus the rumors do bad for him, so he tries to go fight crime, so he won´t be thinking abot Oliver Queen" part of his life.

Flashbacks Oliver is trying to get back home, but he realizes, that it would be strange, so he start orchestraiting his return on Lian Yu. He gets there in ep. 20.

End of ep. 20 - Oliver is arrested.

Final Three (21-23)

Oliver Of course he is innocent, but it takes ep. 21 to prove that. Old friend Quentin helps with that. In ep. 22 it will be about realization, that James himself was behind his kidnapping. ep. 23 wil revolve around Oliver trying to get James in jail as Oliver, not GA plus continue the good things that James was doing and he succeeds. Yes, James wanted to get Oliver out of the way, so he can be the mayor, he can rule the city. It´s just politics.

GA is fighting all the bad guys, he has help (Roy, Thea, Diggle, maybe someone else). In ep. 22 Comodo returns and is the main foe for Oliver. In the end, Oliver learns that Savior is Vertigo. In finale he and Vertigo face off - he is still shocked that Vertigo pulled that off by his own, but when he defeats him, Vertigo tells him that he wasn´t the only one, that there ist "The Arrow Clan" that dedicated their existence to destroy Green Arrow.

Flashbacks Oliver gets to Lian Yu, waiting for the ship to come by (as we learn he had something to do with that).

Cliffhanger: finding out about The Arrow Clan and seeing their leaders - one of six is current CEO of Palmer Tech Emerson, the other is Simon Lacroix, member of city council. We meet both during the season.

P.S. This is a pitch, that could continue, as teased into Season 6 with different version of the stories from Lemire´s run in New 52.

Also, if you think that there is not many GA things, or that it isn´t written in more specific way, it´s because I didn´t want to spend too much time with it. But they can do separate arcs and stories from the comics, changging it a bit to fit the TV show.

Also, I didn´t adress Olicity, Felicity, Curtis or others and that´s simply because I wanted to focus on Oliver. The rest of the team can help sometimes and will help in final episodes, Curtis can become Mr. Terrific in the second half of the season and help as well and Felicity can get a better job eventually, maybe even in Palmer tech again, as lead IT girl, but she needs to prove her worth - that could be her seasonal arc. Olicity whatever, I don´t care untill it remains after all these subplots I just wrote :D
