Unfiltered wine vs. filtered...any insight?
I typically purchase filtered wine, but I found an unfiltered bottle that peaked my interest. Not sure if the remaining sediments will impact the flavor/aroma or if unfiltered is just a hipster fad for "more authentic" taste. One way to find out... It was a pricey 1987 Cabernet and I want to know the best way to enjoy. Should I use my fine screen wine filter? Use my aerator? Both? Neither? Open and let it breathe, or not? Other?
Any thoughts or input on how to best enjoy would be most appreciated!
