Removing crystals from an ongoing spell...

I have crystals that are involved in an ongoing justice spell, the end to which may be a long time from now .. I have the opportunity to cleanse them via Gong Bath today. Would it be okay if I removed the crystals, cleansed them and returned them to the spell?
