Why does my deadlift suck?
Almost everyone I talk to has a higher 1RM deadlift than squat, if they don't it's damn close.
Me, on the other hand, my deadlift isn't even close. I PR'd my squat at 315. I got a session with a PT just to make sure I hit parallel, had good form, did it right. But on deadlift I struggle to pick up 225 and can't even budge 245.
Is this actually abnormal? Is there a muscle group I need to pay more attention to? Is it because I've been doing, and am more comfortable with, sumo deadlifts that regular? I've been told my form is correct, I can't imagine that's changed.
What can I do to fix this, and does it actually need fixing or is this normal?
