Cuboid Mini kit: a mini review
Alright so I've never done one of these, but I feel like I should for a couple of reasons: video reviews never seem to mention the tank problems, and how it seems no one is talking about this kit to name a few. I'm going to review each piece of the kit separately, because my opinion on each widely differs.
The tank: The Cuboid mini tank that comes in the kit looks pretty awesome on the mod, and when I could vape on it (I'll get to that in a sec) it was pretty good. The airflow is a bit tighter than I personally like, and it's also hidden so there's really no way to visually tell how open it is. Just gotta suck and turn until you get it right. It holds a ton of juice which is a plus for me, but if you over-fill you are in for a gurgling spit nightmare of epic proportions. Actually it seems like everyone is in for that, because no matter what I (and what seems like a lot of other people on reddit) did, I could not get it to stop. It's weird because it worked all day the day I recieved it and then the next day it worked all the way through the morning but once it started spitting around 11 it never stopped. I switched coils, i blew with the airflow open, i blew with the airflow closed, i took it out and put it back in (not touching the liquid), I turned it upside down and blew with the airflow closed so juice flew out, I took off the spitback screen, I turned it upside down and fired it so that hot-as-lava liquid fell out the top: NOTHING WORKED. I was bummed. I got over it. Put my cleito on there: happy as hell now.
Pros: Looks great on the mod, probably really dumb on anything else tho. Also holds a lot of juice. Cons: I don't even know where to start, I tried to love it, I really did, but the fact that it gurgles, spits, doesn't have great airflow...I mean I just don't like it.
The Mod: The cuboid mini itself, is a tiny little internal battery mod. Its an 80w powerhouse in a tiny package. The interface is nice, if you've used one Joyetech, you have a handle on it immediately. I usually rock it in power mode, but I did try TC for SS and it seemed pretty accurate . However, note that I don't use TC that much so I'm not the best tester. The screen is pretty bright and big for such a tiny mod which I like, and stealth mode is there to not wake your partner in bed with the light (at least that's what I use it for). Now the battery is only 2400mah, which for some is a no go and I totally get that. However, I work at bestbuy and everyone in my house uses android devices, so we have atleast 2 mini USBs and 2+amp wall chargers in every room of the house as well as our cars, as well as a mycharge powerbank I have around the house somewhere. Plus it takes me around 4 or 5 hours of non-stop action around 45-55w to get me through the battery when not plugged in. The battery life of internal battery mods never bothers me due to that. The only problem I've had is that the fire button is not sensitive, but it is easy to push. By that I mean, it won't misfire randomly if you touch it (atleast I've never had it happen) but if you lean it to the side with your thumb on the button, the weight of the mod could make you accidently press in; it's heavy for it's size. It's easy to avoid, just pay attention. As I said previously, I'm rocking the Cleito on there and lovin life right now.
Pros: Nice screen, battery suits my needs, tiny and super portable, love the chip, easy to use Cons: pay attention so you don't accidently push the button, not a huge concern as it has a 10 second lock, but could get annoying/burn coils. Only happened to me once for like .3 seconds when i hit a bump in my car.
The whole package: I found it for about 46 bucks on MyVaporStore and jumped at the chance to move up to 80w from my 50w mods. The look together is nice, but I can't help but say that I think the tank is garbage. I really wish it worked with no problem because it's just funky-lookin and weird-lookin and awesome-lookin all at once, but it doesn't. I wish the mod was sold by itself, because by itself it's really great and still worth 46 bucks.
Heres what you need to know: mod is great, tank is mediocre at best. I wish we had a solid way to fix the problems with the tank, as I have tried for days, but at 46 bucks it's a great deal just for the mod.
