[EVENT] Construction of the air-amphibious transport fleet

EVENT

Hello budget-debt my old friend...

The South African army prides itself on its airborne capabilities. What that means is that they pride themselves on the air force, something no infantry man would do in their right mind. These parabats and recces are a little special. Probably banged up in the head after their HALO's and free falls and whatnot.

Time to reaffirm this capability. South Africa will begin construction of 120 C-1 Oystercatcher amphibious transport aircraft and 240 G-1 Shelduck amphibious gliders/light transporters. The former cost $28,000,000 per model and the latter $650,000. Both of their specifications are available here. Construction of the Oystercatchers will take 3 years at 40 per year one of our advanced aircraft plants. The Shelduck will be done by the end of 2034 as well, because they are made out of wood, so their materials and shape can be made by carpenters around the nation and abroad at high speed.
