Problem with Glyph updater?

I was wondering if others are having issues with the Glyph updater. Whenever I start Glyph up to play Defiance (since 3.5 came out), Glyph keeps spawning new instances of the updater in perpetuity. I did manage to update it last time (by playing whack-a-mole) with the spawning updaters, but this thing keeps doing the same thing. Furthermore, Glyph refuses to quit. Once I quit the game, and quit Glyph, it comes back on its own.

Any ideas? Maybe remove completely and reinstall?
