Johto Classics last day!

So the Johto Classics... That's a wrap!! How's the final day go for all of you guys? I got 28 wins out of 45 (so my points were 1609) so it wasn't overly bad! However, considering I major in Johto Pokemon, it's kinda disappointing..! I found the place overrun with Dragonite, Heracross, Tyranitar, Azumarill, Raikou just off the top of my head. I did find it very refreshing to be battling without megas though, kinda wish we could have a battle mode without them now! Lastly, just wondering how the average person does in these competitions? Like is 1609 points good, very average etc? Discuss how your experiences went!
