Mass of a thin plate given density function
Hey guys, I have this problem that I've been trying to do.
In polar coordinates, the region is outside the circle r = 3 but inside r=6sin(θ), and the density function is p = 1/r.
The thing is, I believe it's a simple thing, I'm supposed to just do a double integral of the density function to find the mass, but I can't seem to figure out the limits of integration I'm supposed to use.
This is what I know: http://i.imgur.com/off896y.png
The intercepts are r=3, pi/6 and 5pi/6.
Edit: I seem to have drawn it wrong, but we can just consider the horizontal as pi/2
Thanks.
