3 Tips to Increase Win Rate with Strong Drafting, from Challenger 54bomb99

A great way to increase your winrate is to have a great draft strategy. Treat drafting in soloQ like you would in a full 5-man team.

1. First, always have a blind pick champion. When you are first pick and don’t know anything about the enemy team, always pick the same champion because that situation is the same every time (i.e., you don’t know anything about the team comps). For your blind pick, choose a champion that you have success with in a wide variety of situations

2. Have strong picks that you only pick in specific matchups that you know you will do well in. Keep track of your success rate with these picks in certain matchups to increase the strength of this tactic over time.

3. You don’t always have to play the meta, but you do have to respect it. Not respecting the meta is wrong. If you don’t like to play current meta picks, you should look for picks that counter the meta picks. Make sure you have a good counter-pick to champions that you keep facing repeatedly in the meta.
