Resort/Disney Experience Questions

I have a few questions I'm hoping some of you may be able to answer.

1. I went to Disney earlier this year. After moving twice I am left with no hope to find my old magic band. I'm trying to plan for my upcoming trip and the Disney Experience website will not allow me to restart from square one. It still has my old tickets and magic band on the site. Once I make my upcoming resort reservations will I be able to get a new magic band for free like my old one? Also, will the old one disappear from my profile? When I activate my tickets will the old ones disappear?

2. As far as resorts go, I am looking into several of them. (Pop Century, Port Orleans, All Star Sports/Movies, Art of Animation, and Caribbean Beach Resort) I am also considering not staying in one at all. So, why do decide to stay in a Disney resort as opposed another nearby hotel or vice versa? Are there any resorts I listed you would NOT recommend?

3. Our party will be celebrating a birthday on our trip to all four parks this time. I looked up a lot about celebrating birthdays at Disney, but are there any cool perks or surprises that you or anyone in your party have personally experienced?

4. If I have a park hopper, can I make a Fast Pass+ reservation for one park in the morning and then another park later or do all of the reservations have to be in the same park?

5. What's the difference between the Memory Maker and the Photo Pass?
