Will playing Soldier 76 stagnate my learning? Is he too easy? Low skill ceiling?

Hi, I really find that my play style works with soldier 76, that is take your time, burst, run back and heal, but still feel useful by healing everyone in a surrounding. Is he too easy and will this make my play suffer in the long run? Is there a higher skill ceiling to him than it first seem?
