How to reduce crashes? (Windows 10)

I'm currently getting really frustrated with Morrowind. I love it, but it's crashing every 5-10 minutes, and nearly every time I try to use a silt-strider to go to Ald'Ruhn.

I'm using MGSO, but I manually updated to the latest stable builds of MGE, MLox and MCP.

I did create a merged patch using TES3Cmd.

I'm running Windows 10. I have not set any compatibility options yet. Not sure if I should.

If anyone has any ideas about stuff I can do (OS settings, game settings, mod changes, MGSO changes, driver settings, mods I should add, mods I should remove, etc) I'd love to hear it.
