New pen light for vet school
So I need a penlight for class this coming August, and the recommended light on the order form only costs $4.50, so I'm not expecting much from that. So here's my request form
.
Purpose - Penlight to check eye's and stuff on animals.
Size - Preferably penlight size length isn't too important, but i don't want anything too thick.
Battery Type & Quantity - Probably AAA or AA, either 1 or 2 cell. I dont really need the benefits of an 18650 in this case, and it's probably too thick, and heavy to fit where a pen should go. But if there is a rechargeable lithium that has a fairly thin diameter that will work too.
Price Range - I'm hoping under $50.
Type - Handheld
Lumens - max brightness doesn't matter too much in this case, but brighter is always better. What matters more is the low settings, maybe something around 10ish lumens, and a moonlight around 1 or 2 lumens.
Switch Type - Clicky, probably dont need a memory function as long as it turns on the low setting initially.
Anything Else? - High CRI is important, accurate color rendition will be important for performing exams. Right now I'm thinking about the Eagletac d25a clicky with the Nichia emitter, but any other recommendation would be great.
Thanks!
