[Spoilers] Is there something I should have read between The Flash New 52: volume 5 and 6?

Hey All,

I started reading volume 6 and things are very different.. and keep referencing some event of some kind... but there is no mention of anything of this in volume 5... so is there something I am missing, or is this all going to be explained further in the volume?

I hate reading things where I am missing points, so id rather know before i keep reading vol 6.
