Absolutely clueless, aspiring, woodworker looking for advice.
Hello there! I recently moved into a new place with a couple of friends and wanted to build some furniture. Problem being I have pretty much no tools and most of all, no idea what I'm doing. I've made some sketches to help me visualise what I wanna build, the measurements are in metric so they wont be too useful for you Americans. So far I got some ideas for a corner desk and a bed frame. I've got a desk that I've build a few years ago with my dad. It's supposed to be one of the table tops in the sketch (175cm x 60cm) and I wanna build another one to get that L shape. A cabinet I want to build, is supposed to connect and replace the legs for the 2 table tops on that side. The dotted lines in the sketch show where it's supposed to go.
The bedframe is basically a bunch of 20cm wide planks all around the bed. I saw something at a friend's house some time ago. His dad build it and I thought it looked pretty neat. It's also supposed to have a recess at the top to fit in one of these.
It's fairly cheap around here to borrow all kinds of tools from local hardware stores but I have absolutely no clue what to get. What kind of tools do I need for this project? How realizable are those projects for a beginner like me and what are some things I should look out for? Thanks in advance!
