A diary of a salty Arena player. The Queen of Removal vs the Faceless-Four headed-Demon-Frog-Shaman-Thief.
~Day 561.
Dear diary,
Today, I've seen it all.
I drafted my mage deck, this time took my time with it... I have a Flamestrike so that's alright.
Whatever... I want to tell you dear diary... about... about this game I had today.
(whispering) I think I saw a Demon... it was... it was... unbelievable powerful. I was crushed upon its might. It was...*
THE FACELESS DEMON WITH 4 HEADS!
I fought bravely... but it was no use.
First he played his first form on turn 4. What a coincidence? I was dumb and childish to think at that time that was a sign.
I was able to resist it with quite ease. The mighty Flamecannon helped me on that one. Brilliant invention! And another minion... don't remember its name though... strong lad. Fought really bravely.
He passed his next turn. The game went on.
Soon enough, the Venture Co. joined the fight. I was in the lead, so with a bit of help of "our" God, I did pull it through.
Ethereal Conjurer, unbelievable. Gave me the power to defeat the second Faceless. Jaina putting her all might into a powerful Fireball was able to take the second form down.
But that's not all...
I tell you this, my diary... as the horror to come is far more powerful than that.
He summoned the greatest mech, the Force-Tank MAX!
But Jaina stood the test and yet, she and me... we were victorious once more.
We placed our minions very carefully on the field.
Secrets were revealed, many strong warriors died that day.
Many of them being transformed.
Poor lads. They were transformed into frogs, slimy and ugly creatures that were slaughtered with quite ease.
But Jaina and I didn't surrender as the third Faceless for of the Faceless Demon went on.
We were injured but still fine.
I had an idea, to multiply those pesky frogs, all to do to keep us alive.
Frogs died, minions fought bravely and so the Shaman.
At one time, we were able to injure the Faceless enough to kill it. We were going up a plan.
But with no use, unfortunately.
The Shaman fooled us. He used his army against us, and when we thought we were safe something happened.
The DEMON SHAMAN awakened!
He evolved all of his troops into better ones, right before our eyes...
We were lost...
We had only a couple warriors to fight for us on the battlefield.
I took a better look at our situation, and started to analyse every possible outcome.
The God saved us.
Didn't think a murloc would be so useful in those times of war.
Such power I never saw into a murloc. Single handed he destroyed all the enemy troops, letting us a little hope.
The hope of victory.
Not for long... (Jaina said)
We played our hand. Nothing too spectacular, we had minions again.
He, left with a couple cards. Played safe. Didn't want to risk, poor little thing.
We were shocked to receive a mighty warrior, the Bog Creeper.
Huuuuge lad. Ugly nonetheless, but great, immediately came in our help.
No... that would not be enough as it would get as soon as he came in, transformed... into another dirty frog.
We're lost now. (Jaina said)
No, we must hold on, I replied.
We were facing a pretty ugly situation, surrounded by enemies, with our warriors decimated... we were at out last moments.
The next draw comes, the DEMON SHAMAN was in sure lead on the battle board.
We draw some of our troggs.
Ugly looking little things, but good warriors and spell counters. That could've been a good draw.
Could've been...
As the DEMON SHAMAN unleashes his latest acquired card, he sees our end come.
Was the fourth form. And the final one.
The faceless in all its glory.
We were completely amazed.
We had no answer to that and we didn't have enough defenses.
We were on a two turn clock at that point.
Putting everything on the line. EVERYTHING.
His turn arrived. The Shaman was on his first move.
One turn to survive, but how could we win at that point, we didn't have many threats left...
Now paying attention for a moment of think was fatal.
The Faceless Demon marched to our face.
That was the time I knew it was over.
Close your eyes (Jaina said), the end is coming.
I could not believe my eyes to begin with.
A such unbelievable force I didn't quite see up until today, as the Shaman gathered his all might into one move. One that destroyed our hopes at winning this war.
I was watching the giant meteor of fire coming our way, thinking what I did wrong this game.
And I remember that poor lad. The huckster.
Was originally a Searing Totem, but the evolution was kind with this one.
Poor thing... he only wanted us to buy his goods. Then he betrayed us on his last breath, I still hear him say, "buy one!"...
Oh, well... The Pyroblast ended our fates and so the Four-Headed-Faceless-Demon.
The world is cruel dear diary. Especially the Arena those days...
Is a place were the Giants dominate, and their powers are not to joke with.
That was my little tale, dear diary.
I hope to see you soon, but I would lie if I really thought so.
`The end.
