PC upgrade

With the release of Legion imminent, and having played on a laptop for most of my WoW career, I feel it's time for an upgrade. I'm looking at either 1080p/144Hz, or 1440p/60Hz (thoughts on that?) - will an i5-6600 and GTX 1070 be sufficient if I solely only play games in the Blizzard franchise (mostly Legion)? Or is a 1070 overkill for this? Thanks for the help guys!
