Air rifle considered firearm in pa?

I am a convicted felon in the state of Pennsylvania. This is in Lancaster pa. The felony was for drugs. So I cannot own a firearm. The question is, is a air rifle considered a firearm. I know it is in New Jersey and Rhode Island. I've read things saying yes and no for Pennsylvania. If anyone has more info that would be awesome thanks. I'm having a problem with rabbits on my property and would like to get rid of them. Thanks
