Need Help with Advancing Arenas!

Hello Everyone,

I'm sure you all get this a lot but please bear with me and help a fellow player out.

I've been playing Clash Royale for quite some time, garnering some good strategies/play styles/cards over time as I advanced. However my stream of confidence ended as I entered Spell Valley Arena. I would always reach to a 1630ish crown rate in hopes to go to Builders Workshop but would lose several and go back to where I started of a cool 1450ish crown number.

It seems weird as every player I verse around the 1600+ is level 8+ (I am currently level 7 because I simply don't have the coins to upgrade as much and get the experience. Also a lot of the players usually have some form of card deck where it involves high level epics or legendary.. making me wonder if the issue is between unfunded-funded.

It has nearly been over 2-3 months since I first entered this arena and yet cannot advance. How can I move on?

Is it simply because I "suck" at the game? Card Difference? Level/Tower Difference

&& ALSO, once I do manage to get to the next arena, is there anything I should be aware of? Common decks/cards many use to which I should counter? I am only aware that everything is higher in level and obviously the standard of playing increases.

Arrows, Fireball, Spear Goblins, Valkyrie, Barbarians, Hog Rider, Bomber, P.E.K.KA (However Bomber and the P.E.K.K.A often are switched out by Musketeer, Baby Dragon, Goblin Hutt, Minions, and Wizard)

I am also in a clan which donates quite often, 5035 per Week.
