Magic Potty Training

My kid has been sort of potty training for awhile, although we didn't push it. He was doing really well, but had a bit of a regression when my husband (who stays home with him) broke his leg. I thought we were going to have to wait and try again for real once my husband can get around again.

A few days ago, my kid caught a short lived stomach virus, and had what I can only describe as terrible explosive poops. It was the kind of thing that requires a lot of bleach, plenty of wiping, and a bath to finally get rid of the terrible tidal wave of brown sludge.

The next day, my kid decided he was done with diapers forever. Now he is underwear all the time. No accidents, pees and poops in the regular toilet, and dry at night. So....I guess terrible explosive poops worked? Seriously, what the heck kid???
