Restoring original touchpad setting?

Is there an easy way to restore the touchpad to the stock galliumos driver and settings? I was trying to get touchegg to work, and in doing so used

sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

to install the synaptic driver. However, now my trackpad is all messed up, very jerky and innacuate.

Would I be able to get back to stock using

sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

? Thanks!

Edit: This appears to have worked, but not touchegg is not registering touches. Does anyone know how to enable touchegg in gallium?
