Enchanting golden food

For PC edition

Currently there is 3 golden foods and one "enchanted" golden food, but this "enchanted" golden food (the knew enchanted golden apple) can not be obtained by enchanting.

No, I do NOT suggest add a recipe or thing for obtain the enchanted golden apple, but I suggest add enchantments to golden foods that change her properties.

Enchantability of golden foods:

First of all, I have to explain that all the enchantable items have a enchantability value, this enchantability value, with the new mechanics of >1.8, mean the probability of getting good enchantments. It also determine the maximal number and levels of such enchantments.

Ie, more enchantability value, better or more enchantments, or more levels; less enchantability value, worst or less enchantments, or less levels.

Suggested enchantability:

  • Golden apple: due that her craft recipe is expensive, it would have the major enchantability value between

golden foods: 15

  • Golden carrot: her craft recipe is cheap, it would have a enchantability value of 5

  • Glistering watermeal: her craft recipe is cheap, it would have a enchantability value of 5

Suggested enchantments:

The value of a enchantment and probability of obtain this is determinated by a ecuation:

Probability(enchantment) = (enchantment weight) / ( ?i=1^number of possible enchantments [enchantment weight])

The "echantment weight" property determine mostly the probability of obtain such enchantment. Enchantments with higher weights have a higher chance of being selected.

These are the suggested enchantments (and values):

  • Manna: this enchantment increases the food points and saturation points values of the food. This enchantment has a weight of 10, is a common enchantment.
  • Level 1 gives an increase of 20% of food points and 10% of saturation points. It has a modified enchanted level of 1-15.

  • Level 2 gives an increase of 30% of food points and 20% of saturation points. It has a modified enchanted levelof 10-21.

  • Level 3 gives an increase of 50% of food points and 30% of saturation points. It has a modified enchanted level of 15-30.

  • Level 4 gives an increase of 70% of food points and 50% of saturation points. It has a modified enchanted level of 21-33.

  • Level 5 gives an increase of 100% of food points and 100% of saturation points (ie, the double). It has a modified enchanted level of 41-54.

  • Longevity: this enchantment add the potion effect "health boost", that is similar as the "absorbtion" effect, it adds extra hearts to the player, but these extra hearts are normal hearts that can be regenerated, unlike the "absorbtion effect".This enchantment has a weight of 2, is a strange enchantment.
  • Level 1 gives health boost of level 1 for 3 minutes. It has a modified enchanted level of 1-31.

  • Level 2 gives health boost of level 3 for 3 minutes. It has a modified enchanted level of 15-54.

  • Level 3 gives health boost of level 5 for 3 minutes. It has a modified enchanted level of 30-81.

  • Breeding: this enchantment add the possibility of obtain more baby mobs from the feed mob. It does not to the player. This enchantment has a weight of 8 and only is obtainable in golden carrots.
  • Level 1 gives a probability of 50% of obtain a extra mob baby (100% if the two mobs are feeded with this). It has a modified enchanted level of 1-21.

  • Level 2 gives a probability of 100% of obtain one extra mob baby and 25% of obtain another extra mob baby (100% for the second baby if the two mobs are feed with other golden carrot with breeding enchantment). It has a modified enchanted level of 9-36.

What would happen with the current enchanted golden apple?

I repeat again that I do not suggest add some enchantment to obtain the classical enchanted golden apple, because is a treasure item since minecraft 1.8, but also I do NOT suggest remove it.

The classical enchanted golden apple could have simply a change of her name, for example "legendary golden apple" or "notch apple", and would stay been a treasure item.

Thanks for read.
