Need Some Encouragement...

So I'm just going to rant here for a while, and I'm sorry if I sound whiny or stupid, because I always think I sound whiny and stupid when I talk about my depression.

I got diagnosed about a year ago, put on meds, assigned a therapist...the whole nine yards. But here I am, after going through it for as long as I have, and I still feel so hopeless. I keep thinking all of this is just cyclical. You feel fine for a little bit, but eventually, I'm going to fall back into it and feel worse than before, and I'll get desperate and empty and erratic.

I don't know what I'm looking for, other than I guess just encouragement or general advice. Does this ever get better? Or am I stuck in this until I die, something I won't mention here because the tab says to post it to r/suicidewatch.

I feel useless and tired and discouraged, especially since those around me just sort of brush my statements off, or tell me to get off my meds, or whatever else when they don't know what they're talking about.
