keeping tiny fingers away

hello! i have recently purchased my first gun, the glock 19! :)

anyways safety is very important to me, and to keep my daughter away from the gun while keeping it near me at night, i considered this product

it seems to be a foam little gun case, will this harm my gun? am i supposed to cut out the shape of the pistol in the foam?
