wine64 audio woes
I'm having troubles with wine64 and audio. I've compiled by putting the following in my configuration.nix:
nixpkgs.config = {
allowUnfree = true;
wine = {
release = "staging"; # "stable", "unstable", "staging"
build = "wine64"; # "wine32", "wine64", "wineWow"
pulseaudioSupport = true;
};
packageOverrides = pkgs: {
wine = pkgs.stdenv.lib.overrideDerivation pkgs.wine (oldAttrs : {
wineBuild = "wine64";
wineRelease = "staging";
pulseaudioSupport=true;
configureFlags = "--enable-win64 --with-alsa --with-pulse";
});
};
};
I've also tried without the configureFlags with the same results.
I can execute wine64 fine. And I can even run the programs in question, but there's no audio.
I also tried with pulseaudioSupport = false; and nothing.
In winecfg, the Output device shows only (System Default). Same for the other entries.
I tried using wine64 regedit to manually modify the entry selecting between pulse or alsa with no luck with either.
I tried using winetricks to do it for me, but it failed as well.
I have pulseaudio and alsa working fine otherwise. I need to use pulseaudio --kill before trying, but aplay playbacks .wavs just fine. Alsamixer also is able to change volume levels. And both vlc, firefox and audacious all play sound just as expected.
When I run the test with winecfg, I get:
err:ole:CoInitializeEx Attempt to change threading model of this apartment from multi-threaded to apartment threaded
err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {bcde0395-e52f-467c-8e3d-c4579291692e} not registered
err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {bcde0395-e52f-467c-8e3d-c4579291692e} could be created for context 0x1
which googling resulted in unrelated issues with wine32. I did try installing both pulseaudiolib and alsaLib just in, but still nothing.
Help anyone?
