[MH3U] First-ish playthrought, want to use Bow.

Probably a boring question, specially since it's an old iteration and the most asked question is about which weapon is "best", but it's more on a worth value.

From what I've tested and researched, LBG and HBG are powerhouses after a while and I played around with solo pellet LBG on village quests and it's just like shotgunning everything and with RF with ele or later hame HBG it seems to be a demon speed weapon class. I really liked how the bow feels more dynamic, but it seems to be on the lower end dps-wise?

I'm going to try and finish g-rank with this game since I can't get mh4/gen but not really wanting to spend all the timer just because of low dps. Are bows worth the effort? I'm not really into kelbi bow.
