Potted Tomato Plants Question

Hi all!

Excited to have found this sub - here is the pertinent info to my situation:

  • Located in Los Angeles so Zone 10b
  • First time growing tomato plants from seeds

I have about 20 seedlings doing their thing in a my janky greenhouse set up (shakes fist at June gloom). Once they are ready I will transplant them to pots.

I have purchased these 20 gallon smart pots off Amazon

My question is: can I raise 2 plants in each pot or should I keep it to 1. Trying to figure out the most cost effective way to raise a few plants without buying a ton of soil. Doubt I have the means to take care of 20 plants but I would like to try and get as many plants going as I can.

Planting in the ground isn't an option unfortunately and neither are raised beds.
