Sell my gtx 980 ti hybrid for a 1080, or buy another 980ti on ebay and sli?

I need the opinion of this sub reddit since you are the most qualified in my opinion. What should i do? Sell my card and then wait for 1080 stock to arrive, or have to deal with sli profiles which I know not all games are very generous in.
