Question for techs that have moved around a lot

Question

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the state licensure process. After you pass your registry you're able to get your license in any state (obviously the one you'll be working in), but what happens if you move? In Tennessee (where I am going to be working) it's a super extensive process that requires letters of recommendation, a six page application, my HIGH-SCHOOL transcript (which blows my mind), and other things. Isn't it enough that I graduated and passed my boards?? lol In Illinois (where I went to x-ray school) it's a simple process, from what I understand, and none of those things are needed. Why do the state requirements vary so much and what would I do if I moved (which is likely to happen in the next year)? Thanks in advance for any info yall can give me! <3
