My Sunday Idiot Parade

I've been here for an hour and a half and have had some of the weirdest phone calls (back to back within a 5 minute period of each other).

First lady calls and wants to change her arrival date for her reservation bringing it to a 2 night stay and she was at the rack rate, no discounts or special event code. Her rate was at $159 originally and was going to go up to $209 so I tried to be nice about it and told her it was at $179 (didn't tell her the actual price).

Her- "Well why does my rate change, it was confirmed at this price and now it's going up even though I'm still staying there, this doesn't make sense."

Me - " Well it changing the date of arrival and our rates daily rates change based off what is going on in the town and availability."

Her- "Yes but I made and confirmed this reservation earlier at this price and now it's changing even though I'm just shifting the dates."

Me - "Yes..................."

Her - "Is there a manger I can speak to."

Me - Yes on a Sunday there is a manger here -.- "No, I'm sorry they won't be back till Tuesday because of memorial day but they get in around 9 am."

Call number 2 rolls in very muffled

Him - "something something family emergencywon'tbeabletomakeitintonight."

Me - "I'm sorry I couldn't quite hear you"

Him- "Something something, so we won't be able to make it in tonight and I wanted to know if we could cancel it."

Me - pulls up their rate $185 "....unfortunately I can't cancel that for you tonight since its past the cancellation time"

Him - "When would that have been?"

Me - "6pm last night."

Him - "Hm, well what's the card so that I can call the credit card company."

and then the classic snowflake tier members coming to the desk to mooch waters, and when I told him its suppose to be only at check in he goes, "Even for snowflakes?" so I just plopped them on the desk stoically......I don't like people right now
