LG smart TV help

I dont know if this is the right place to ask, but i have an LG 47LM4700 HD smart TV and i wanted to plug my headphones in it. There are two headphone jacks (3.5 mm) so i connected my headphones but i didn't get any audio. Is there a way to make this work? Thanks in advance!
