A little idea I had while composing my other revolver concept. The weapon's based around playing aggressively, using your cloak as a method of stalking your targets and attacking unseen when they're most vulnerable.
-
On the upside; decloaking grants you a short time window for critical hits with your revolver, followed up with by mini-crits, and kills will restore 25% of your cloak meter. This gives you a very short time window to deal an easy 120 damage (meaning you have to cloak and be ready to shoot almost immediately), plus a few 81's for good measure - however, for balance's sake, you can't just spam cloaking and decloaking with the Invis Watches to gain these bonuses and you're encouraged to use them tactically. By regaining your cloak meter on kill, these critical / mini-crits reimburse you for what you spent following that enemy around while cloaked and encourage you to use that massive damage you're given to kill as many people as possible, as fast as possible. Oh, and these synergise fairly well with the watches; the Invis Watch gains the most cloak from ammo pickups, so getting a kill with this is a huge gain to your reserves if you're running low, the Cloak n' Dagger is undoubtedly the best for stalking your enemies like this weapon demands and lets you be more tactical about when you go in for the kill, and the Dead Ringer allows you to feign or avoid death, decloak, and very quickly return the favour to your attacker.
-
On the downside; the more distant you are from an enemy, the longer it takes you to decloak, and . This encourages you to use this weapon as it's meant to be used - by decloaking next to enemies, killing them quickly, then cloaking away. Decloaking when you're completely alone is penalised with a longer time spent unable to do much except move and recloak, as well as with wasted crits and mini-crits which you need to wait another 6 seconds to regain. Your disguises are also much less effective, encouraging you to switch between them often and rely on your cloak more in order to avoid being pursued - fortunately, cloaking will delay the time until your disguise disappears. Also, no random crits, because you can guarantee your own with the right usage.
-
Alternative versions include; a variant that solely uses mini-crits (which seems unbalanced when we have the Diamondback and Ambassador already capable of performing crits, which depends the existing imbalance).
-
Overall, it's an aggressive revolver designed to synergise with your watches more than your disguise - kind of like an opposite of Your Eternal Reward - and reward you with devastating damage for targeted assassination.
